There’s no need to wait until October 31st to celebrate Halloween; Flour Field’s annual Green Monster Mash is happening this weekend, and it has all the candy, costumes, and chaos for a spooky good time. There will be more than 40 trick or treat tables to choose from… or visit them all! For entertainment, check out the Wildlife Geeks live animal show or catch a ride on a hayride around the track. Additionally, inflatables/games, character photo opportunities, and a live DJ will be on site. Tickets are just $8 per person. (Children under 2 and dogs are free). You’ve never seen Flour Field decked out like this!

They are throwing a huge pre-game party to celebrate, complete with concourse activities like sign making, fake tattoos, and music. Tickets are only $45. Swamp Rabbit fans are passionate, they’re intense, and they are always looking for fellow fans.

Make the most of Fall with a visit to cozy Brevard, NC, during one of their Pumpkin Fest weekends. Every weekend in October, Silvermont Park is hosting a shindig that will feature live artists, food, face painting, pumpkin displays, and a Historic Mansion tour. Parking is 5$, but off site parking a block away is free. Admission is $7 for adults, and 5$ for children (above 3 years old). This event will surely be pumpkin to talk about.

There is an old Welsh proverb that: “A little among neighbors is worth more than riches in a wilderness.” There’s no better way to get to know one’s community than by mingling with neighbors at events like Greenville’s 5th annual Hampton-Pickney PorchFest. Bring your folding chairs or blankets to porch hop between 12 historic porches, stopping to enjoy live music. There will be 24 musical performances this year! There’s a reason that this event won the SC Heritage Tourism Award this year; it’s a free, community driven event that is focused on preserving the past and making memories in the present.
