It’s easy to “Party in the U.S.A” during TR’s Freedom Trail Drone Show this weekend. Kick off your 4th of July festivities with a visit to Trailblazer Park, where individuals can enjoy a free concert from The Big City Plow Boys and check out local food trucks. Then, immediately after the concert, snuggle in for an electric drone light show with friends or loved ones. Lawn chairs and/or blankets are highly encouraged for optimum comfort. Let freedom ring!
Lucian Adams once said that, “The legacy of brave men and women who have fought and died for their country is the freedom we enjoy as Americans.” This weekend, you're invited to enjoy the simple freedoms of life and honor our veterans at Greer’s annual Freedom Blast. The evening’s schedule will include opening ceremonies and a military tribute, in order to recognize the extraordinary bravery of our military’s men and women. Additionally, the Freedom Blast will host a Kids Zone, Blood Drive, rib eating contest, and live music from the Back 9 Band. Check out the local cuisine and beer from on site vendors and food trucks. At 10pm, the night sky will light up in a dazzling display of fireworks. It’s a summer celebration like no other.


Move over, downtown Greenville. There’s a new Main Street in town. BridgeWay Station is a new development in Mauldin, SC, that offers dining, shopping, and entertainment experiences. Join this Friday night from 7-10pm for a free concert from Randomonium. This free event is being hosted by City Market (food hall) as a part of their summer concert series. Make the night even sweeter with a special treat from Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, Cocobowlz, or Old Europe Desserts!
Chaucer once concluded “murder will out,” but is that always the case? Join Centre Stage’s production of Murder, Plain and Simple, for an enthralling show that will make you question everything. The scene is set when Robert, a conniving nephew, plans to execute his aunt, but complications soon arise. Will he be found out? Will he get to keep the money? Join for a zany comedy, written by Meghan Reimers, that has recently won the 21st Annual New Play Festival. Tickets start at $18.50.

Let Southernside Brewing Co. take care of all your holiday plans: from delicious grub to relaxed entertainment, they’ve got you covered. Celebrate next weekend, July 3rd-4th from 6-9pm for live music, drink specials, and fireworks! Please note that Southernside will not be conducting its own firework show, but individuals will have a great view of the annual firework show hosted by Unity Park. Take a walk through the park or on the Swamp Rabbit Trail for a leisurely stroll and the best people watching available. It’s a central location in Greenville to make new friends of celebrate with old ones.
