Country music fits all occasions. Feeling cheery and carefree, driving down the highway? Country music understands. Feeling nostalgic, heartbroken, or in love? Country music is the ticket! Fellow country music lovers do not want to miss The Rock the Country Fest, where all those emotions can be enjoyed alongside like-minded souls. SC’s festival will take place in a small town this year, in little old Anderson, SC, but the lineup is anything but small. This year’s lineup includes Kid Rock, Nickelback, Hank Williams Jr., Tracy Lawrence, and many more. Tickets can be purchased as single day ($99) or weekend passes ($159.99), and VIP passes are also available. Rock on!

In 1917, shortly after America joined WW1, Eugenia Duke brought the comforts of home by selling fresh chicken salad, egg salad, and pimento cheese sandwiches to American soldiers. Her mayonnaise recipe was so highly sought after and her work ethic so intense that she soon trademarked Duke’s Mayonnaise in Greenville, SC, as commemorated by the Eugenia Duke Bridge that still stands proudly in Greenville today. Mayo is such a staple here in the South that Greenville is celebrating its 5th Annual Hot Tomato Summer Food Festival this week, hosted by Duke’s Mayoinnase. Forty-six local restaurants will be participating, with many offering unique combinations of tomato & mayo. Additionally, Duke’s Mayo will be selling merch, like tomato & mayo themed swim trunks, bags, and pool floats. Participants can also win prizes by visiting Duke’s Instagram page!
