Make the most of your Saturday night in downtown Greer during a free concert, thanks to Greer’s Tunes in the Park Series. Once a month, a local band performs for the community, offering an evening of relaxed entertainment and good vibes. Be sure to bring a camping chair or blanket, as seating is limited. Outside food/beverages are prohibited, but they always have some pretty wonderful food trucks to visit for dinner, a drink, or just a snack. On July 19th, the Carolina Coast Band will be rocking the stage from 6-9pm, under the beautiful summer stars.

Four

What if demons were real, organized, and bent on destroying man, one temptation at a time? C.S. Lewis explores this idea in his best seller The Screwtape Letters, in which two temptors, Screwtape and Wormwood scheme and manipulate a simple man on earth, toying with philosophical ideas and religious themes as they do so. This July 16-20, Gunter Theatre is performing its own adaptation of the Screwtape Letters. Tickets start at $87 and are on sale now!

FIve

For one night only, Jason Isbell and the 400 unit will be performing at the Peace Center, starting at 7:30pm. Isbell prides himself on being a “guitar hero” and “conductor,” as well as a “smiling fan of the majesty of his bandmates when he wants to hang back and listen to the sound.” Their ninth album Weathervanes is “a collection of grown-up songs: Songs about adult love, about change, about the danger of nostalgia and the interrogation of myths, about cruelty and regret and redemption.” They are passionate about connecting with their fans in an authentic way, joined by the power of music. Tickets start at $88, and please note that there is a four person limit.
