How to Spend a Saturday at Judson Mill in Greenville, SC

January 31, 2026

When it’s too cold in Greenville, SC, to enjoy the outdoors, Judson Mill is an excellent spot to find quality indoor entertainment and delicious food. Located just 9 minutes from downtown, Judson Mill was first established in 1912 as a textile mill, but now serves as a community space featuring lofts, restaurants, and local businesses. Not many people seem to know about Judson Mill, so it is kind of a hidden gem, but with its 100 year old architecture and unique tenants, it’s really worth the visit. Check out our suggestions below for a busy Saturday at Judson Mill.

Judson Mill Play Cafe (Morning)

If you are visiting Greenville with small children, the Judson Mill Play Cafe is a must see. Where else can a child play to their heart’s content while their parent sips on a warm beverage on the sidelines? Their indoor playground is a massive 14,500 sq. foot space that includes slides, tunnels, climbing structures, sensory toys, and more. Tickets are $12 per child Monday-Friday and $18 per child on the weekends. They also offer monthly passes and birthday party packages. Their menu includes not just coffee, but also snacks like pizzas and flatbreads.

Blockhaven (Morning)

If you are visiting Greenville without children, Blockhaven may be more the way to go. It is a state-of-the-art climbing facility that is for “all ages, fitness levels, and abilities.” Rock climbing will test you! It will get your blood pumping. Isn’t that what the best memories come from? They offer single day, multiple day, and membership passes, and $5 rental gear packages. Additionally, they have an on site cafe, which serves classic coffee items and baked goods.

Feed and Seed Co. (Afternoon)

Feed and Seed Co. is a nonprofit that focuses on distributing quality produce directly back to the community. They do this through farmers markets, their Green Market, and their FoodShare program. Their Green Market on site at Judson Mill is temporarily closed, but it was open in December 2025, and will return. The Green Market is a great place to stop by to grab a snacky lunch, produce, or local goody.

Kenny’s Golf Club (Afternoon)

No need to trek out into the cold for an outdoor golf course here- Kenny’s Golf Club has 6 practice bays where you can practice your one-stroke hole. They’re open 7 days a week, from 10am-10pm so you can pop in anytime for a quick game or lesson. One hour sessions are $55 per person.

Mill City Kitchen (Evening)

While the other food options so far have all been quite snacky, the Mill City Kitchen means business when it comes to food. Salads, wings, pizza, sandwiches, and dessert… They have all the comfort food classics. They even offer free wine tastings on Wednesdays and live music nights on Thursdays. The renovated mill brick gives the space a cozy, intimate feel that is perfect for a date night or girls night out.

The Foundry at Judson Mill (Evening)

The Foundry is an event space that is only open for specific shows and/or events. For example, their next live show is on February 24th with a band called the Runarounds. Check out their online postings of future shows to plan accordingly. The Foundry is open every Wednesday and Saturday for line dancing. (Ladies enter free on Wednesdays; men are $5). Entry is $5 for everyone on Saturdays. It's a pretty trendy spot to hang out or see live performances.

It is quite ambitious to do ALL of these activities on a single Saturday, so you may just want to mix and match your favorites. Or just pick one. You can’t go wrong at Judson Mill. Making memories and traditions is just too easy here.
